So this is definitely a first with an online class but I think it's cool, it kind of mixes things up a bit. Okay so about myself..I am currently taking another online class besides this one, so I am trying to be as organized as possible! I am a Comm major with a correlation on adolescent/emerging adulthood development and issues. I am graduating in the Spring 09 and I am excited about what that will bring!
A concept that stuck out to me was in chapter 3 in regards to nonverbal behavior. This type of communication reminds me of clues you need to put together to understand the whole picture. Especially with nonverbal emotional expressions, this can be very complex because emotions are complex. If we can better understand someone's posture, tone, or expression through nonverbal emotions, we can better communicate in a clear and helpful manner.

Caligirl522, In talking with other instructors at various institutions around the globe, there's a move away from learning management systems (that label reveals a lot) such as blackboard, and toward the use of free services such as those offered by google and pbwiki. Hence, blogging this summer.

Hi lyrical love! Gee, if only I knew my way around HTML, my profile would be as nice as yours. I'm new to the whole online class and I also am taking another one, Comm 149. I get the assignments confused because they both have things due around the same time. Organization is really a key factor when taking this online classes. However, they're actually fun because you're able to interact with classmates at your own time...you don't have to worry about calling them and waking them =P Well, I just wanted to say that your profile looks awesome and I look forward to commenting each other in the future!
